Cistella Terms of Service
Effective date: October 12, 2026
About these terms
These Terms of Service describe the conditions for using Cistella: Project Tracker ("Cistella"), provided by Daniel Dahlén, an independent developer based in Sweden ("the developer"). Questions about the app or these terms can be sent to [email protected].
Cistella helps you organise projects, tasks, parts, photos, notes, time and costs. It is a record-keeping tool, not a substitute for professional advice, required inspections or your own checks of project and maintenance information.
Using Cistella
Use Cistella lawfully and only with records, photos and other content you are entitled to use. Do not use Desktop Access or other features to access another person's device, records or connected services without permission.
You must have legal capacity to agree to the terms that apply to your use, or the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian where applicable. The app's children's-privacy information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Your content and information
You retain your rights in the content you add to Cistella. These terms do not transfer ownership of your projects, photos or other records to the developer.
Cistella's Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including optional backups, purchases and Desktop Access. The Data Deletion page explains the separate controls for local records, backups and other copies. These terms do not replace those disclosures or give permission to use your content for unrelated purposes.
Local storage, backups and Desktop Access
The phone is the primary store for your project information. Keep suitable backups of information you need, check that backups complete and retain any password needed to restore encrypted backups. The developer does not operate a server-side Cistella project database from which your local records can be recovered.
Desktop Access is optional. Its current local-network connection uses HTTP, not encrypted HTTPS. Its PIN controls access but does not encrypt the connection. Use only devices and networks you trust, and stop the session when finished. Stopping access does not remove files already downloaded or content retained by a browser. See the Privacy Policy for the connection's limitations.
Optional Google services and purchases
Connecting Google Drive is optional. When connected, Cistella uses the permissions you grant for its backup functions. You can disconnect it; doing so does not remove existing backups. Google services and Google Play are also subject to their applicable terms and policies.
The price and applicable purchase conditions are shown before you confirm a purchase in Google Play. Google Play processes purchases; Cistella does not receive your payment-card details. Purchase and refund requests may be handled through Google Play or by contacting support, as applicable. Nothing in these terms removes any refund, cancellation or other remedy provided by applicable law.
App and third-party rights
Using Cistella does not transfer ownership of the app's name, design or software to you. Any open-source or third-party licence notices that accompany the app continue to apply; these terms do not replace or restrict rights granted by those licences.
Updates and testing versions
Features can vary by version and platform. Closed-testing versions may contain bugs or unfinished behavior. Keep copies of important information before relying on a testing version or updating the app.
The developer does not promise lifetime feature updates, new features, or compatibility with every future device or operating-system version. This does not limit any updates, including security updates, or other support required by applicable law, any specific commitments made at the time of purchase, or your rights to paid features under the purchase terms.
The developer does not promise uninterrupted availability of optional third-party services or that every device supports every feature. These practical limitations do not exclude any legal obligations concerning the app or a purchase, or any rights that applicable law does not allow the developer to limit.
Stopping use
You can stop using Cistella at any time. Save or export information you want to keep before clearing app storage or uninstalling. Backups, exported files, gallery originals, browser downloads and system-managed copies may remain separately; follow the Data Deletion page for the relevant controls.
Changes and your rights
If these terms change, the updated text and its effective date will be published on this page. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you already have. Where applicable law requires additional notice or agreement, those requirements still apply.
Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Contact [email protected] with questions or concerns so the developer can try to resolve them.
